OUR STAFF
Meet Bishop Rene' Henderson
I am Bishop Rene’ Henderson, the eldest son of Edwin and Sheila Henderson, born in Belize, Central America. I trained in the engineering field and worked in various enterprises including my own business before migrating to the USA where I lived for 26 years with my then wife, Pastor Barbara Henderson. Pastor Barbara moved to Heaven September 2014 leaving behind a great legacy of love, wisdom, courage, strength, unwavering focus and dedication to the cause of Christ and His Kingdom purpose for Belize and two beautiful daughters, Melissa and Tahani, and their husbands Jordan Mack and Chris Weichlein, respectively.
I remarried September 2018 to a beautiful woman, Tania Shevonne Henderson, who loves God and His Word with all her heart, adopting her four children, considering it a great blessing and divine privilege to influence them in the ways of the Lord.
My Testimony
In 1984, while living in the USA developing two very successful businesses, Pastor Barbara and I dedicated our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ and to the divine purposes of the Kingdom of God. As we grew in the things of God, He inspired us to “Take His Word to Belize”. We did this by starting Crossin’ the Gulf Ministries (CTGM) and bringing mission teams to Belize. In 2007, at the direction of the Lord, Pastor Barbara and I returned to Belize to minister full time to the people of Belize. After Pastor Barbara passed and I remarried, Tania and I now continue the work with a group of passionately dedicated and committed men and women called the CTGM Leadership Team.
My Heart for Ministry
My heart is to accelerate the work of “Restoring Righteousness in the Infrastructure of Nations”, honoring the Great Commission of our Lord to influence every man’s world with the realities of the Kingdom of God, doing so only in His Divine Love. My hope is to unite Belize as one people in order to assist in resolving the challenges the nation faces. I believe God has something great for Belize and know there is nothing the forces of darkness can do to stop it.
Aside from mentoring and encouraging several churches in Belize, I teach the Kingdom of God principles at Word of Life Bible Institute, mentor couples with the view of restoring God’s intent for marriage thereby restoring the God-ordained family structure which is the foundation of healthy nations, working to restore Church/State relationships (the key to successful government), and personal outreach to various gang factions in Belize.
Meet Pastor Melissa Mack
I am the eldest daughter of Bishop Rene’ and Pastor Barbara Henderson, wife of Jordan Mack, and a sister, auntie, friend, and soon-to-be grand-mum. I was born in Belize and competed in the USA and Belize in long-distance running. I am still an avid runner and also work part-time doing civil engineering consulting. I love family and meeting new people. In addition to running, I truly enjoy traveling, have lived in four countries, and have friends all over the world.
My Testimony
While on a run in London, England in 1999 I told the Lord to please never make me a teacher. Sensing I had grieved the Holy Spirit I quickly repented and told the Lord, “If you need me to be a teacher, I will be a teacher, but that is really not my desire.” I returned home to Texas in May of 2001 and started serving Eagle’s Nest International Church (ENIC) as the janitor. ENIC was the previous church arm of CTGM in Tomball, Texas. I moved up to children’s ministry teacher, then praise and worship leader, then finance assistant and pastors’ armorbearer. The call from the Lord to pastor came on Sunday morning, April 22, 2007, as my foot hit the first step on the back stairs to open the church building – “Pastor Henderson”. It was as though a sportscaster had announced it. I glared at the sky and went about business to set-up for service. That afternoon Dad and Mom told my sister and me they were moving back to Belize. I knew what the Lord was calling me to do. I was humbled and in awe.
My Heart for Ministry
So, I was BLESSED to serve as the Senior Pastor of ENIC from October 2007 - January 2021. Not a job I took lightly! It has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Today, I serve beside my father, Rene’, and my husband, Jordan, as a Director of CTGM. I am constantly amazed at how the Lord moves to minister to His people and stand in awe at His trust in me to feed His people. I desire only to see people walk in the understanding of the Father’s love for them and the fullness of His BLESSING. I have a special place in my heart for children and women and am passionate to see the goodness of God in their lives, as well as for the men in their lives.
Meet Pastor Jordan Mack
I was born number 12 out of 13 siblings in the Catholic Church to Fabian and Irene Mack. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest on a ranch in Eastern Oregon. The majority of my family, including me, followed our parent’s love for the jewelry industry whether the focus was on retail, gemology, watchmaking or custom design work.
My Testimony
After many years in the family business, I struggled with alcohol addiction and a feeling of emptiness, insecurity, and frustration. I desperately desired something different, but I was unsure of what it was. I remained in the family business for many years trying to fill the void I had through self-medicating followed by numerous secular treatment facilities. I did not know God as I know Him now. In search for the call on my life, I continued doing things my way, in my own timing, creating many hardships in my life and for others. It wasn’t until February 2006 that my search was over after receiving help from a Christian, faith-based treatment program, and God rescued me from the dark pit I had been living in. I was born again and started to seek God with all my heart. My destiny was forever changed by this supernatural encounter. This eventually took me to Canaan Land Bible Training Center in Alabama to learn more about the Word of God. I was a student for a year then stayed on as a counselor then God promoted me to Assistant Director. While attending Canaan Land, God spoke to me in prayer and said He was sending me a helpmate (my wife). He put in my heart a burning desire to spread the gospel and help others through my testimony through missions. I met my beautiful wife, Melissa, three months later when she was visiting the ministry as a partner. Melissa and I were married on June 14, 2013. I was truly excited to be part of Crossin’ the Gulf Ministries Church (then Eagles’ Nest International Church) in Tomball, Texas; the church her parents started in 1997.
My Heart for Ministry
God’s Word is true, and HE did for me “immediately” what I couldn’t do all my life. Melissa and I will both be full-time in the mission field in Belize, Central America as of fall of 2022. As a team in the missionary evangelical field, Melissa and I want nothing more than for those desiring more out of life to know the truth of God’s love for them and the fullness of the Blessing that is rightfully theirs to walk in every day of their lives. That is something I desired and searched for, for over 25 years. Melissa and I, with the Lord’s direction, will minister this promise to all who desire the same wherever He calls us.
Meet Our Administrator Tim Kelly
Greetings, I am a Texas transplant from Southern Louisiana, the Acadiana area. My parents, Tom and Carol Kelly lived a hectic life, moving our family at least once a year from my earliest memories through my 9th grade year. We settled in the Acadiana area, and I started growing some roots. I have one younger brother, Carl Kelly, Lead Pastor of Celebration Church in Livingston, Louisiana. I was married to my wife, Debra for 48 years until she graduated to Heaven in August of 2021. I retired from the oil and gas industry in 2021 after a career with several companies. My background is Logistics and Logistics Analytics. Moving critical personnel and equipment to meet tight timelines was the norm. I also have extensive training for Emergency Response Events. For many years, I represented a nationally known life insurance and investment company, teaching families about money principals.
My Testimony
My grandmother had a very positive influence on my young years. If you were in her house on Sunday, you went to church. My grandfather also went to church but they each had different religions and churches. It was very confusing to a young person. My parents were not believers so Christian influence was very limited. After I got married, my wife’s parents were bible believing, church going Christians and I attended church when I wasn’t working. The church had a new pastor join it and he was on fire for Jesus! During his tenure at the church, my wife and I gave our hearts to the Lord in 1979 and we started our true Christian walk. My parents were slow to accept Jesus but did come to know His salvation in their later years.
My Heart for Ministry
Throughout my Christian walk, I have supported church ministries in various ways, such as monthly newsletter preparation, printing and distribution, including maintaining church address and phone books. Managed a large church’s bookstore, tape and CD duplication, including all financial tracking and profit (no loss) statement. Lead usher for a group of ushers and parking lot attendants. Currently in my home church, I commit to prayer as much as possible and look for opportunities to support my church and other ministries. I am excited about supporting Crossin’ the Gulf Ministry as they minister in Belize and other countries as the Lord leads and directs.
